Basil, Tangerine and Lemongrass Orzo with Lemon Basil Shrimp
Ingredients
- 1 pound Flour City Pasta Basil, Tangerine and Lemongrass Orzo
- 1 pound uncooked shelled shrimp
- 1½ tsp lemon peel
- ½ tsp hot chili flakes
- 2 TBS lemon juice
- 3 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
- 3 TBS corn starch
- 2 TBS fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Bring several quarts of water to boil and cook orzo 4-6 minutes until al dente. Drain
- Meanwhile in a large skillet, on medium high heat combine chili flakes, lemon peel, lemon juice and broth
- When mixture begins to boil, add the shrimp and stir until shrimp are pink in color, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add corn starch to skillet stirring constantly until thickened.
- Serve shrimp and sauce over cooked orzo.
