Basil, Tangerine and Lemongrass Orzo with Lemon Basil Shrimp
Ingredients
  • 1 pound Flour City Pasta Basil, Tangerine and Lemongrass Orzo
  • 1 pound uncooked shelled shrimp
  • 1½ tsp lemon peel
  • ½ tsp hot chili flakes
  • 2 TBS lemon juice
  • 3 cups broth (chicken or vegetable)
  • 3 TBS corn starch
  • 2 TBS fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
  1. Bring several quarts of water to boil and cook orzo 4-6 minutes until al dente. Drain
  2. Meanwhile in a large skillet, on medium high heat combine chili flakes, lemon peel, lemon juice and broth
  3. When mixture begins to boil, add the shrimp and stir until shrimp are pink in color, about 6-8 minutes.
  4. Add corn starch to skillet stirring constantly until thickened.
  5. Serve shrimp and sauce over cooked orzo.
