Browned Butter and Carmelized Walnuts served over sweet potato pappardelle
Ingredients
- 1 pound Flour City Pasta Sweet Potato Pappardelle
- 1 stick of unsalted butter
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped walnuts
- Salt to taste
- Optional sweet cheese such or Grana Podano, Pecorino or Gruviera
Instructions
- Bring several quarts of water to boil. Cook pasta 8-10 minutes until al dente. Drain
- While the pasta is cooking, melt the butter in a medium skillet
- Cook over medium-high heat sitrring frquently until the butter begins to brown
- Add brown sugar and walnuts
- Lower heat to medium
- Stir constantly until coated
- Serve over cooked pasta with a bit of grated cheese.
