Mushroom And Garlic Orzo with Ashley's Asparagus Tips Recipe
Serves: 4
Hearty Orzo and a creamy sauce highlighted with Asparagus.
  • ½ pound Flour City Pasta Mushroom and Garlic Orzo, cooked al dente (4-6 min)
  • 1 cup chopped asparagus tips
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup butter
  • 4 TBS heavy cream
  • 2 TBS Parsley flakes
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan
  1. Bring several quarts of water to a boil. Add Orzo and cook al dente (about 4-6 minutes)
  2. While the pasta is cooking, add butter to a saucepan and place over medium heat
  3. Add garlic and asparagus tips.
  4. Saute several minutes.
  5. Just before garlic begins to change color, add cream and parsley.
  6. Cook approximately 5 minutes
  7. Add salt and pepper
  8. Serve over Orzo topped with parmesan cheese
